PhD Students: Where are they now?

Dr Saad Niaz

Dr Saad Niaz is a business development and partnerships manager at Scientifically Speaking, a global STEAM agency transforming how science is communicated and experienced.

He completed his PhD in cancer and pharmaceutical sciences at King’s College London, where he investigated the development of novel polymeric 3D-printed scaffolds for tissue engineering and drug delivery applications.

Saad’s PhD was instrumental in getting him where he is now in his career, from transferable skills such as communication and writing, to gaining an understanding of the life sciences industry.

In his interview, Saad discusses why he chose his research topic, the importance of a good supervisor and how he dealt with the sudden ‘stop’ after finishing his PhD.

Watch Saad’s full video below to find out more about his post-PhD journey.
